Brief: The Open Space Gallery of Contemporary Photography is showcasing the work of emerging photographic artists working within the design industry. The aim is to produce a series of images for the exhibition and to advertise the show by means of a poster. The final images should be thematic in style and content.

Concept: The Barbie doll has been a huge influence on girls from a young age since the 60's. The images show the the emphasis that girls pay on outer beauty, as they strive for total perfection as the Barbie doll portrays. The first image shows the girl after she has just applied pink lipstick. This is followed by her in shock and horror as she sees her face morph into Barbie infront of her. The images communicate a conemporary issue, a fear of beauty now becoming 'Fake' and 'Plastic'.
